Fairs & Expos

State & city fairs, nationwide

A 30-minute show. A two-week run. August to November.

Overview

Every year, state and city fairs across the United States book XWT for the length of their run — around ten days to two weeks on the grounds, with a 30-minute acrobatic show staged several times a day.

The American fair season runs from August into November, and fair boards book a season ahead. A typical engagement puts the company on the grounds for the full run — usually ten days to two weeks — performing a 30-minute acrobatic show several times a day so that everyone coming through the gate sees it.

The 30-minute format is built for a fairground rather than a theatre: it opens big, holds a crowd that is walking past rather than sitting down, and finishes strong enough to stop foot traffic. The programme can be re-cut to a grandstand slot or a midway stage without changing the company on the road.

Everything travels self-contained — portable stage decking, ground-supported rigging and sound — with a weather protocol that keeps the schedule intact through a summer storm. No venue infrastructure is assumed.

Fair boards can book the acrobatic show alone or combine it with our lantern installation for an evening programme that carries the gate past dark.
